FROM THE FOUNDER — A LETTER
I'm a panicked
medical student.

Hi. I'm in fourth year. I failed two of my mock OSCEs last term. I have 88 unread lecture PDFs in my Notability. I cannot afford the £499 Quesmed package and my parents have asked me three times if I'm "doing okay."

I built Panic Bank in 90 days between cardio rotations because the existing tools were either too expensive, too generic, or too boring — usually all three. The big question banks are built for a generation of med students whose parents are doctors. Mine isn't. So I made this for me, and then a few friends, and then a Discord server, and now you.

The idea is simple. Your lectures contain almost everything you need to know. You just don't have time to read them, and even if you did you'd forget 80% by Wednesday. So I made an AI that reads them for you, picks out the bits an examiner would actually test, generates exam-grade SBAs, and keeps them sticky with spaced repetition.

It is not finished. There are bugs. The AI sometimes says weird things. The library is still small. But it works, it's free, and I'd rather you used it now and yelled at me than wait six more months while finals happen to you.

Open an account. Send me bugs. Yell when it sucks. I'm in this with you.

THE MANIFESTO · SIX BANKING PRINCIPLES
What we
believe.
01
PRINCIPLE 1 / 6
Free should mean free.
Not a 7-day trial. Not a 5-question limit. The bank's free tier covers what a real student needs to revise — forever. We make money on people who genuinely want unlimited.
02
PRINCIPLE 2 / 6
Don't waste students' time.
Every interaction should feel like withdrawal-day at a good bank: fast, polite, no fine print. If you spend more than 10 seconds on a screen, we've failed at it.
03
PRINCIPLE 3 / 6
Your lecture > generic question bank.
What your lecturer covered IS what you'll be tested on. We build the SBAs from YOUR materials, not a recycled 2014 question pool.
04
PRINCIPLE 4 / 6
Explain things like a human.
The AI tutor uses plain English. It doesn't say 'pathognomonic' when it means 'this is the giveaway.' It doesn't gatekeep. It works the way a kind upper-year friend would.
05
PRINCIPLE 5 / 6
Spaced repetition is not optional.
It is the only studied learning technique that survives finals. We build it into the workflow, no extra app required.
06
PRINCIPLE 6 / 6
Your data is yours.
Export anytime. Close your account in two taps and the vault is wiped. We don't train models on your notes. UK-hosted, GDPR-compliant, no dark patterns.
